Frequently Asked Questions
How do I use this tool?›
1. Load a video — click to select or drag & drop a video file onto the page. 2. Find your frame — use arrow keys or click the timeline to navigate frame by frame. 3. Capture & save — press Space to capture, then save as JPEG, copy to clipboard, or batch download as ZIP.
Is my video uploaded to any server?›
No. All processing happens locally in your browser using the HTML5 video API and Canvas API. Your video file never leaves your device.
What is the maximum resolution supported?›
The tool captures frames at the video's original resolution, up to 4K (3840×2160) and beyond. The output resolution matches your source video.
Which video formats are supported?›
Format support depends on your browser. Generally, MP4 (H.264) works in all modern browsers. WebM, MOV, MKV, and AVI are also supported in most cases.
Can I capture multiple frames at once?›
Yes. Use Space to pick frames into the candidate list, then check the ones you want and click 'Download ZIP' to export them all at once.
Does it work on mobile devices?›
Yes, the tool works on mobile browsers. However, due to limited processing power on mobile devices, performance may vary with high-resolution videos.
Is there any quality loss in the captured images?›
No. Frames are captured directly from the video's decoded frames via Canvas at full resolution, then saved as JPEG at 92% quality. There is no visible quality loss.
